A Karnataka practice built on litigation and advisory work
ManAt Legal was established in 2018. Its advocates appear before courts and tribunals across Karnataka, from the Magistrate and City Civil Courts in Bengaluru to the High Court, the NCLT and arbitral tribunals.
The founder, BN Thimmaiah, has practised before courts in Karnataka since 1979 and holds long-standing institutional and professional connections in Kodagu, where the firm’s Virajpet office is located.

Founder
BN Thimmaiah
Founder & Senior Advocate
BN Thimmaiah founded ManAt Legal and has practised before courts in Karnataka since 1979. His work covers civil matters, institutional advisory work, arbitration and cooperative-society disputes.
He graduated from VV Puram Law College in Bangalore and began practice in 1979. He has acted as retainer advisor to organisations including the KDCD Federation, the South Coorg Club, the Native Club and the Kodagu Cooperative District Central Bank, and has served as an arbitrator for cooperative societies in Kodagu. He has held the offices of President and Secretary of the Bar Association of Virajpet.
